UWA's much-loved research competition is back!

Rising Stars is a live crowdfunding competition that provides you a rare opportunity to hear directly from our most exciting early career researchers, as they pitch to earn your support, in the form of 'live' pledges during the event.

Western Australia is home to some of the world’s brightest minds, tackling global and local challenges in health, technology, sustainability, and beyond. However, securing early funding is one of the biggest barriers for emerging researchers. By investing in early career researchers, we ensure that innovative ideas flourish, world-changing discoveries take shape, and WA remains at the forefront of research excellence.

This year, we mark 10 years of championing UWA's rising stars. To honour this milestone, we have partnered with The Funding Network to introduce an exciting new live crowdfunding format—giving you the opportunity to directly support ground-breaking research projects that resonate with you.
