What’s your passion and how do you want to make a difference in the world?

My passion is social justice and working to break down silos in the way we tackle big social issues by creating relationships between organisations and connecting people, their skills, talent, passion and their ideas to take projects to the next level.

Why is inclusion important to you personally?

Inclusion is important to me because an inclusive environment is the key to individual happiness and solving our most complex issues as organisations and as people. The ability of people to reach their potential and contribute to our community in an inclusive environment is much stronger than in a disrupted space and I think we all have something unique and valuable to offer our community.

How do we create a society that does more than accept difference?

I think we need to acknowledge within ourselves that our own perspective is just one of many perspectives and no more right or valuable than another perspective. Once we start to see the value in other ideas and ways of doing and being we start to see new solutions and re-define the issues we’re facing – which is the space where innovation happens. Given the number of complex issues facing our society today, I think that this is exactly what we need – to be open to learning from each other.
