Hear how a broad range of philanthropically funded research is supporting and improving mental health and wellbeing across the community.

Biology and psychology, nature and nurture - however you put it - who we are and how we experience the world is a combination of our genetic make-up and physiology, and the environmental factors that have formed us.

Mental health and wellbeing are fundamental to human existence and affect us all, as individuals, as family, as community members and as a society. There has never been greater focus on awareness, support and new research.

Whether it is our most vulnerable children who have experienced trauma, or individuals within society who suffer the impacts of diagnosed but difficult to treat psychiatric illnesses, or the general community looking to improve sense of well-being, UWA’s leading researchers are finding solutions and sharing their insights.
