UWA and me
Since graduating from my Master’s degree in 2017, I have been fortunate enough to travel the world, learn from incredible people and work with some amazing organisations. I have worked with Australian and multinational organisations across a range of industries to deliver human capital and business optimisation projects. As both an internal adviser and consultant, I have advised across digital transformation, organisational development, business partnering, change and transformation, and human-centred design.
I volunteer with several amazing organisations as both a contributor and executive board member. Since 2019 I have been on the board of the United Nations Association of Australia - Young Professionals Network, which educates young professionals on how to operationalise the Sustainable Development Goals and equip them with the skills and connections to bring positive change throughout their personal and professional lives. I also volunteer with Rotary of Elizabeth Quay, Hacking HR and UWA as an Alumni Career Mentor.
Favourite UWA memories? Being outdoors, anywhere on campus. Wading through the shallow water at Matilda Bay between classes and sitting on the jetty at the end of a Masters night class. My daily ritual was a long mac and banana bread – 6 years studying, I wouldn’t be surprised if UWA has seen a decrease in demand for Banana Bread since 2017.
My passion
I’m passionate about learning and experiencing new things, innovation, sustainability and equality. I’m passionate about people and the future of work. I’m passionate about making a positive difference in the world, across all areas of my life and the lives of others. I’m passionate about empowering people to be the change-makers we need by providing the knowledge, development and means to create powerful change.
Forward thinking
I get to work across a diverse range of projects, working with senior stakeholders to eliminate barriers to peak business performance and highlight areas of opportunity.I love being able to make tangible differences for organisations and their people.
I’m always seeking innovative ways to create better outcomes for people and organisations, so I see myself working with organisations that are forward-thinking and innovative in their approach to work.
Advice to first year students
Soak up your time on campus and get involved in whatever you can. You don’t realise the true value of uni until you leave. You meet lifelong friends, build your network, and have access to clubs and activities that will enhance your skill set outside of lectures and tutorials.
