Hear how philanthropically funded research and collaboration across organisations and communities is advancing conservation science and outcomes.
Everything on this planet is connected. Ecosystems are complex webs of interacting species, processes, and climatic and human influences. Biodiversity is essential to maintain balance and support life and it has long been a goal for conservationists to manage ecosystems as a whole. Often difficult when there is uncertainty as to how some ecosystems work and when there are multiple threats and conflicting needs.
In this webinar UWA researchers discuss how their philanthropically funded research is providing fundamental and crucial knowledge about ecosystems in order to mitigate threats. They discuss how collaborating with experts, institutions, and communities to overcome environmental and human induced challenges on land and in the sea will maximise the success of conservation efforts.
