From strength to strength
I graduated from my undergraduate degree at UWA in 2013. Since then, I have been working as a strength and conditioning (S&C) coach at various WA sporting organisations including Perth Demons, GolfWA, Western Australian Institute of Sport. I enrolled in an applied PhD at UWA in 2015, whilst working at West Coast Fever, and commenced work fulltime as an assistant S&C coach at West Coast Eagles in November 2016.
My prac work at UWA was key in gaining the relevant experience and networks to enter the industry immediately after graduating.
Developing people, preventing injuries
I am passionate about developing athletes, both physically and as people. In terms of making a difference in the world – hopefully I can help it have a few less injuries!
Future possibilities
Working in a fast-paced elite sporting environment, no day or week is the same. The future career possibilities in elite sport are endless. Fortunately, I work in a career where my skills can be utilised in multiple sports and different environments. In the short-term, I’m hoping there is a premiership on the horizon.
